The Ringbrothers Aston Martin DBS Is a Proper Restomod

Ringbrothers unveiled the 1971 Aston Martin DBS Octavia restomod during Monterey Car Week, changing the car’s stance with a 3 inch longer wheelbase, an 8 inch wider front track, and a 10 inch wider rear end. The car rides on a Roadster Shop Fast Track Stage III chassis with fully independent rear suspension, Fox Racing fixed-valve coilovers at all corners, and 14 inch Brembo brakes. Under the hood sits a Wegner Motorsports built 5.0 liter Coyote V-8 boosted by a 2.65 liter Harrop supercharger, pushing the power to 805 horsepower. A six speed manual transaxle directs power to the rear wheels.

The build relied on a long collaboration with Gemini Technology Systems for the carbon fiber bodywork. CAD work totaled 3,900 hours, with 8,200 hours of hands on development. The exterior is finished in Double-0 Silver with Nuclear Olive Green accents, while the cabin blends caramel leather, carbon fiber trim and 3D printed stainless steel accents with Octavia badges throughout. Ringbrothers co-owner Mike Ring notes that OCTAVIA marks a bold leap beyond previous projects, combining American muscle with English restraint and celebrating the hot rodding spirit at Monterey.

The price was not disclosed, underscoring the exclusivity and premium nature of the project.

The DBS Octavia is less about restoring a memory and more about reimagining a classic for a modern, high-performance landscape.
