Classic Aston Martin DBS reinvented as 805bhp hot rod

Ringbrothers have transformed the DBS into an 805bhp hot rod by transplanting a tuned 5.0-litre Coyote V8 with a 2.65-litre supercharger. The engine now drives through a Tremec six-speed manual, replacing the original gearbox. To manage the power, the car sits on Roadster Shop's chassis with a 3-inch longer wheelbase and wider front and rear tracks. The suspension uses Fox coilovers and Brembo brakes with 380mm discs, while HRE centre-lock wheels clear the increased braking hardware. The body is rebuilt in carbon fibre and finished in Double-0 Silver to nod to Bond, while the engine carries the Aston Martini name on its valve covers and the oil dipstick is shaped like a Martini glass.

Inside, the cabin features a carbonfibre dashboard with stainless steel accents and tan leather. Jim Ring, co-owner of Ringbrothers, explains the idea: what would an MI6 agent drive on his holiday? The DBS restomod is designed to be both a showpiece and a driver.
