The Google Pixel Watch 4 is set to feature larger batteries compared to the Pixel Watch 3. Reports indicate that the 41mm model will have a 327mAh battery and the 45mm model will have a 459mAh battery, marking increases of 7% and 9% respectively. Despite these improvements in battery life, Google will continue using the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor, which has appeared in previous models. Unlike OnePlus, Google will not adopt a dual-OS strategy and will stick to Wear OS, leading to questions about durability and performance as competition increases. The Google Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel 10 series are slated for announcement at the Made by Google event on August 20.

The reliance on the same processor raises concerns about innovation in smartwatches.
