CeeDee Lamb did not play in Saturday's game against the Rams, but he drew an automatic unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after stepping onto the white sideline area during a celebration following a deep pass to Jonathan Mingo. The pass was incomplete and a defensive pass interference flag would have given Dallas 51 yards if not for Lamb's foul.

Referee Alex Moore called the contact an automatic foul when someone on the white line is touched. It was described as a rare occurrence. Dallas finished the night with 11 penalties, and coach Brian Schottenheimer stressed the need for better discipline going forward. The Cowboys return to action next Saturday and Lamb's playing status for that game remains unclear.
