The Avengers themed NSX Roadster will be auctioned next year to support a charity, with a show at The Quail during Monterey Car Week.

Acura Plans Auction Avengers NSX Roadster for Charity

Acura built a one off NSX Roadster for The Avengers. The car is based on a 1991 NSX with 252,000 miles. It has a hand crafted resin and fiberglass body, lowered suspension, special seats, and 18 inch wheels. The project was led by the Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles and finished by Trans FX in Oxnard, California.

The auction will take place next year at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, with proceeds going to an undisclosed charity. The car will be shown during Monterey Car Week to celebrate the NSX 35th anniversary. Acura will also display a 1995 NSX-R and a 1999 Zanardi Edition and will preview the RSX Prototype, an upcoming electric crossover.

Factual note about the event

"This shows how pop culture can boost a car s value beyond pure engineering"

Editorial observation

The move shows how brands keep movie magic alive in the collector market. It taps into nostalgia and adds a charitable angle that broadens appeal beyond car fans. It also demonstrates how pop culture helps extend a model life beyond the showroom.

But the auction sits at a delicate mix of culture and high value. A big price could reflect the story as much as the engineering. The charity tie helps temper a pure money focus and could draw buyers who care about more than speed.
