Nintendo's Switch 2 console launched in June and has already sold 5.82 million units in its first month, more than doubling the 2.7 million units sold by the original Switch in the same timeframe. The surge in sales resulted in a 132 percent increase in quarterly revenue, amounting to ¥572.3 billion, approximately $3.8 billion. Nintendo noted that demand for the new console is outpacing supply in various countries. Despite challenges, including impending tariffs from the U.S. on goods from Vietnam, where the Switch 2 is produced, Nintendo remains confident it can reach its sales target of 15 million units for the fiscal year ending 2026.
