It was noted for its peculiar dimming pattern that suggests a potential layer of dense ice and possibly water, despite surface temperatures reaching 300C (600F). The planet's orbit occurs in about four days around its faint Red Dwarf star. Researchers hope to study TOI-1846 b's atmosphere more closely using the James Webb Space Telescope.
