Daily Hub is one of the worst Pixel features I've ever used

Daily Hub tries to be a single place for weather, calendar, messages and media suggestions. It appears mainly at the top of Google Discover rather than in the app drawer, and that placement feels odd. The weather card is minimal, and the video or podcast picks are inconsistent, sometimes from familiar apps and sometimes from surprising sources.

Google shows promise with the idea of a hub that surfaces information from Gmail, Keep, Tasks and more, but the current version misses these integrations. The reviewer believes a well executed Daily Hub could be a killer feature if Google builds deeper, reliable connections across its apps, but as it stands it feels incomplete and ready for further refinement.

From a product strategy view, Daily Hub exposes Google's challenge: make a broad ecosystem feel cohesive without overwhelming users. The current version leans on Discover and generic topics, risking user fatigue if content feels irrelevant or repetitive. The comparison to Samsung Now Brief shows that even rivals can deliver more practical weather and planning summaries, which raises questions about Google's priorities.

If Google wants this hub to succeed, it will need explicit integrations with Gmail, Keep, Tasks and wearables data, plus better content curation. The feature could become a daily habit for Pixel owners if it shifts from a scattered feed into a meaningful control center. For now, the lesson is simple: a strong idea needs polished execution and a clear roadmap.
