Boots recalls Erborian Centella Cream over bacterial contamination

The Office for Product Safety and Standards has announced a recall of Erborian Centella Cream in 20ml and 50ml sizes after tests detected three bacteria: candida parapsilosis, micrococcus luteus and microbacterium oxydans. The product does not meet the requirements of Regulation EC 1223/2009 or the Cosmetic Products Enforcement Regulations 2013. Boots does not sell this specific item in its shops, but the recall extends to all stockists carrying the brand. Consumers are advised to stop using the product and contact the distributor for guidance. The affected batch numbers are KM06343 and KM07343 for the 20ml bottles, and KM05363 and KM06363 for the 50ml bottles.
