Initially, five trainsets will be available, with a total of 28 expected to enter service by 2027. The NextGen Acela trains will offer 27% more seating and improved passenger amenities, including high-speed Wi-Fi and individual power outlets. However, despite increased speed and features, they will still fall short of the speeds achieved by trains in Europe and Asia.
